I love the folk of the air series, but I must admit that the other books in the series are even better and this one is a bitttt slow

We ignore that cardan has a tail because he's very fit. Jude is such a baddie boo.

“If I cannot be better than them, I will become so much worse.”

3.75 stars
If someone asks me what I thought about the Cruel Prince, I will say I hated it. But I also loved it. It's a love-hate relationship.

I did like some parts, others bored me to death. This book wasn't spectular in my opinion, since I guessed the majority of the plottwists before. Hence, I wasn't surprised at all. However, I couldn't stop reading, because I was still absorbed by the world building.

I was annoyed how stupid Jude was at times. Nevertheless, we finally got a fierce female character. She isn't a very liekable character, but damn, reading how she manipulated and betrayed and lied her way up. How she became really worse than the Fey.
I hated Cardan, but at the same time I didn't, but he is a jerk and an asshole but he is kind of .... you know .... it was fun to read about him. A royal who is 24/7 drunk and actually a coward.
I felt hatred toward Taryn. If you have a sister like her you definitely don't need enemies!
I love Vivi. And I kind of liked Madoc. But Madoc he who is is.

I am excited how the story will progess. After THAT ending I cannot imagine how the relationship between Cardan and Jude will proceed. I can onl hope Jude knows what she does .....
