Incredible audiobook. Love this narrator and love that she wrote a book about audio narrators. Lovable, emotional, familiar but not too predictable. Just love!

just a fantastic romance novel. so well-rounded and well-written. it faithfully follows the tropes while somehow being extremely self-aware and having realistic and dynamic characters. all in all, a fantastic romance novel. will 1000% be reading (or maybe listening!) to this in the future.

This had me cackling and crying and everything in between! The banter is top notch and the heartfelt conversations made me melt!

How did I manage to love this book while hating the love interest

I am not sure why this was so difficult for me to follow. I enjoy listening to Julia narrate books on SCRIBD.

I love Julia Whelan, and I will always pick the audiobook of anything she narrates over the physical copy. This is my first read of one authored by her though, and it was a miss for me.
The story jumps too abruptly from each chapter/scene which is disorienting (I found myself going back to see if I missed something.) There’s not enough fun banter or steam that I expect in a romance. The subplots of the MC’s strained relationship with her dad and her grandma’s deteriorating health were too heavy when I wanted something light and fun. Lastly, there’s a part in the last third that gave me the ick, and I never could bounce back from that.
