If this were short it would be almost five stars. I got a few hundred pages in and got tired of how much more I needed to go. I'm not a fan of how sexualized the female characters are. The amount of sexual assault and rape there is, is overkill. I get it is to really assert how horrible people are but I think it was overdone. The ending felt rushed and the reason for the dome was weird and disappointing.
Character development and setting the scene was well done.
I would not recommend this book since it's so unnecessarily long as well as my other thoughts mentioned above. I would recommend an audiobook version over a physical copy if you did want to read it.
I don't regret reading it but i wouldn't go through the effort of reading it again. I think it's over hyped.

Dragged in the beginning for how quickly it ended. The characters were memorable and the plots were very detailed.
Satisfied to finish the book, not sure I’m going to pick it up again.
