This was far too similar to 50 Shades (minus the kink).

Wow. Amazing from start to finish read it in one sitting. Page turning at its best.
Female did do my head by pining over male but I like strong females that don’t lie down and take any s... from any one.

Mia is about to start her new job as an intern but she shadows with a job bartending in a place that is filled with shifters. Mia is a shifter but it has kept it hidden. When Mia gets in a bit of trouble she finds herself being protected by Lucas. Not in her wildest dreams did she think Lucas would be her new boss. The chemistry is there but Lucas wont claim Mia after losing his mate. He is down on himself and can't seem to get out of his own head, but a threat still surrounds Mia and Lucas finds he wants to be the only one to protect her and perhaps claim her.

I liked this but I did find that Lucas drained me a bit. I had a hard time wondering why Mia would still want him when he was a jerk most of the time. Once he does redeem himself it all falls into place though. Good start to a new series..

Claiming Mia (Dot Com Wolves #1) by Alisa Woods – Shifters in corporate America with some kidnapping for good measure. Cool world building! Happy Reading!

DNF. Didn't buy into Mia's character. Too many plotholes. Poor world building.

DNFed

I wanted to like this book more. After 3 tries, I had to DNF at 16%. I didn't see anything redeemable about the MCs, at all. It felt like a 1980s soap beginning without any charm. The lead male was far too controlling. Renamed him Creepers based on it. Felt like a 50 Shades knockoff.
