My rating: solid 3.5 stars

A quick and delightful read by poet Ted Hughes' older brother Gerald. Shed light on the post WWII life and family connections across time and distance. Really opened my eyes about how difficult it was for family members to stay in touch (and even see each other) across the vast distance between England and Australia. Great take on a truth most of us know, that your siblings, no matter the time and distance, often know you best. Interesting that my own brother should have sent me this book.
