I think we all need a Shane Dean in our lives, his devotion to Josie even though he couldn't remember was so incredibly sweet for someone who has such a hard exterior (literally and figuratively). The chemistry Josie and Shanes share was off the charts from the time they reconnected you could feel it jump off the page! This book is action-packed from the first page and leaves you wanting more from these characters and the supporting cast.

I really love this series. Theres suspense, heat, intrigue, twists and turns, good guys, bad guys, you name it and you got it.

Loved the fact that Josie remained a fighter throughout the book and remained strong and helped her husband. The heat between here and Shane was awesome. Lots of passion and holy crap moment that weren't over-the-top.

Shane, well.... I want me one of him! A large powerful male with a possessive and protective streak? Where do I sign up!! Love the interaction with his brothers, you can see how terrible close they are.

I really cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series and get Matt's story.

This book hooked me from the beginning, and I couldn't read it fast enough. But then it began to repeat situations and the heroine grew tiresome. I lost count of how many times Josie kicked or punched (or attempted to kick or punch) some guy in the balls. And how many times did she have to be attacked or kidnapped before she learned to be smarter/more careful/more aware?

Shane made a good hero. He was sexy, strong, and protective. And I absolutely love the cover model for him. He's perfect, right down to the gray eyes.

Rebecca Zanetti is an excellent author. Despite the heroine, I think this new series deserves our support.

I read this 2014 after reading book 2 first. I must have enjoyed it, as I’m still reading this author. No idea where my OG review went. 🤷‍♀️

I'm not a big fan of 'second chance' romances - too often I feel like they've had their shot and didn't make it, and any 'happily ever after' will be temporary because they've already proved they can't hack it. I know, I'm cynical for a romantic. But I read this one anyway because I wanted to read the next one in the series and the second one wasn't a stand-alone.

That said, the author made it clear why the relationship had ended the first time and why the same wouldn't happen this time around.

The author took it easy with this one I think, and a lot of the chemistry and attraction was diluted for the reader because it was 'just like old times'. However, as a prologue to the other books in the series, it was fantastic. I was desperate to read the other books by the time I finished this one!

Could she get more kidnapped? I think she wasn't kidnapped enough (irony).

Not her best work. I had a hard time getting into this one. The amnesia husband was an asshole the entire time and the wife just didn't want to be alone. The story felt like it had big important parts cut out. Slang is all British even though the settings are west coast USA. Ill keep reading Zanetti, but not picking up any more in this series.
