The concept of this book is great; a group of middle school friends growing apart find the dead body of their city’s most powerful superhero and their relationships fall apart as a result. However, Plutona just feels kind of generic and bland. None of the characters feel deeper than cliches seen before; the abused kid who is a bully, the girl going through a mean streak, the nerdy loner who grows power hungry to find his purpose.

It all feels unjustified and falls pretty flat which is disappointing because I think the broad series of events could be something interesting.
