You can feel Kerry’s character throughout this book and it was interesting hearing about her life in her words.
Each chapter has multiple ‘vignettes’ which breaks up the writing in to bite sized pieces. I both enjoyed and disliked this; I could pick up the book at quickly read a section, but it felt like it was taking awhile to get through the chapters and all the information.
I appreciate how honest this story is, and seemingly transparent (quite like the water Kerry loves so much).

Well plotted and structured, heart wrenching at times.   I don't know Ms. Washington's acting work that well. I never watched scandal, I haven't seen many of her movies, but I was so impressed with her.  The drive, the way she built her life, the way she handled adversity, the way she worked through the challenges of a family that never truly felt like her own.    Really liked liked this book.

I enjoyed her book probably because she seems like someone I could be friends with and... Go to dinner with .... And go on vacation with... In between her going off to shoot movies and do press... Lol
