Lighthearted and sweet
This book is just what the Doc ordered. It was sweet, lighthearted and heart warming. I lived the banter and the progression of the relationship which was more normal then you normally get. There was no stupid break up for the sake of drama or immature handling of a person's past relationships.
I have to admit there wasn't much going on but I rather enjoyed that. We got a slice in the lives of two people and it was wonderful.
I loved Ash. The way he grew as a character and and as a lover just made my heart sing. He did everything he could to love and support Zelda and he just knew what she needed before she did herself.
We need more characters like him
Zelda was strong even when she was vulnerable and always owned up to her mistakes. She wasn't insecure and always faced Ash head on and called him out in his bullshit (when it was needed).
I loved that family was a big part but didn't take over the pages. I always appreciate when family is involved in the characters lives so it was nice.
Ash and his father's relationship was the most realistic representation I have read on family who work together. Because you can love your family and still hate them in some areas.
There was no OW/OM drama and no fake cheating for the sake of jealousy. It wasn't a rollercoaster but it was bumpy enough that it wasn't completely predictable.
The best part was that the boss employee relationship was not abused. They had boundaries in the workplace and stuck to it. They kept things professional and mature when they needed it to be. I think this is the first book I've read where characters with their roles didn't have sex whenever the opportunity in the office especially because they were the only two there.
I'm interested in reading Lindon's book so I hope the author has it in the works.

Another great one
Loved the weirdness and chemistry Zelda and Ash have. It was beautifully written. Hope there is a Linden story coming.
