This seems like more of a place-holder than a complete novel. I get the impression that it bridges the gap between two heavy-hitting stories rather than being worthy in and of itself.

Really need to read in conjunction with the rest of the series. It had been sometime since the previous book so forgot many of the nuances of the charcters.
