Such an easy read! I sped through this book and enjoyed it for the most part.

i wish there was more ~ development ~ between the MCs' relationship because it felt like much of it was expressed through a montage-y paragraph or two, but other than that, i really enjoyed this book!

“I don’t want another morning where I wake up without your face being the first thing I see or another night where your lips aren’t the last thing I taste.”

2.5 stars.

This was honestly a big 'meh' for me.. I wanted to like this book but I just could not care less for the romance unfortunately.. It wasn't bad, but this was def a miss for me!

All the books in this series are my favorites, BUT Reckless Hearts will always have a special place in my heart! Aiden & Avery were as hot as [a:Brighton Walsh|6548902|Brighton Walsh|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1560178156p2/6548902.jpg] promised, and on top of that, the author gave them a VERY interesting plot, a beautiful love story, and I loved being able to read a lot more by Mabel & Addison in this book too!

When I started Reckless Hearts I didn't really know what to expect from Aiden because until the previous book we knew him as one more of the grumpy McKenzie brothers and the one who takes charge to manage the resort, but Aiden is much more than that and I loved that Brighton showed his vulnerable, super sexy side, and the fun relationship he has with his little sister! I think one of my favorite things about this character was his secret job as a writer, a job that is making him fail at the resort, which is causing him problems with Addison and which he hides from the rest of his family for fear that they will get hurt.

Avery is passing through Starlight Cove, but fate gives her the opportunity to stay so she can spend more time with Adisson, Aiden's little sister, and her best friend, with whom she shares a friendship that I fell in love with! and one of the things I liked most about this character was that the author let us see the great connection between them, how important they are to each other and the constant support they represent in their lives . Furthermore, Avery is a book lover, a free soul in search of her dreams, and her place in the world, with a strong personality, who speaks her mind, especially to Aiden and who finds in Starlight Cove and the McKenzies those he didn't know he was looking for.

Things between Aiden & Avery begin with a casual night full of surprises that they both really enjoy, and although their connection and chemistry are very deep, the next day each one goes their own way, until they meet in the most unexpected way and Aiden discovers that Avery is his sister's best friend, and his new employee, and everything gets complicated, not only because Avery is sure that Aiden is just another liar in her life, if not because neither of them can stop thinking and desiring the other, especially being so close all the time. But even with the tension and misunderstandings that exist between the two, I really liked reading Aiden trusting his biggest secrets and insecurities to Avery, leaning on her to be able to move forward and being the most charming too, and I think what I loved most about Avery was reading the reason behind her decision towards the end of the book, even when her heart breaks, I think it sends a very powerful message and it made me love her so much more.

I truly do not know who I like more. But the way Aiden and Avery had my toes curling.
