A satisfying conclusion to the series--it was a super fast read, albeit a little rushed. I enjoyed the adventures the characters go on. It's definitely not one for depth and meaningful character development, but the plot and action make it a fun read.

"Whatever happens--you and me are together forever."
Sigh...I've been waiting for this final installment for 17 months, and the wait has been torture. This is one of my most beloved YA/fantasy series, and the expectations were of the highest level. In the end, it wasn't as spectacular as I dreamed, but satisfying nonetheless. Despite the huge buildup, the end wasn't as explosive as it could have been. Because there are numerous POVs and multiple events unfolding, it felt like some things could have been omitted and others addressed in more detail.
The Amara chapters were my least favorite, and I could have done without them all together. Jonas will always my good guy /rebel hero. Lucia surprised me, in a good way. Cleo finally gets her act together. Falling Kingdoms remains one of my favorite series in this genre, and I'd recommend it to any fantasy reader.

Of course, Magnus chapters were easily my favorite. I wanted more of he and Cleo; their banter left me feeling sentimental and reminded me how long their journey has been. I've never had such a wide array of feelings over a character. I have gone from loathing to loving him so completely; just like Cleo"Magnus loved you. He fought for you. He defied me again and again in order to save you, even if it meant his own destruction."

The finale was mid for the last book in such a long series.
Amara COMPLETELY redeemed herself imo. I don't understand how people can forgive Lucia for everything she did but not Amara. I literally don't.

Como no sé si darle 3.5 o 4 estrellas, me decidí por 3.75
Me gustó este final de la saga, sí, pero dejó mucho que desear en comparación con el resto de la saga y si bien el final del libro me encantó, no puedo ignorar todo lo demás.
Muchísimos povs tanto de Amara como de Lucía eran aburridos, y la táctica de la autora de terminar un capítulo en un cliffhanger para después pasar a otro personaje lejos de mantenerte enganchado hacía que te olvidaras de ciertos personajes y te importaran y preocuparan más otros.
Como siempre, Magnus y Cleo juntos son adorables, me habría encantado ver mayor evolución entre la relación de Nico y Ashur y por todas las demás parejas, estoy conforme.
Una cosa que también me saca mucho de onda fue que Amara cometió muchos errores que no iban con ella, quedaban muy out of character, el final que tuvo no me terminó de encantar.
Hubo muchos plot twists y el final en general estuvo bien, pero, como dije, no estuvo a la altura de los demás libros y creo que de toda la saga es el libro menos memorable (tanto que no tengo mucho qué decir al respecto), lo cual es una decepción.
Eso sí, no piensen que es un mal libro, aburrido o mediocre, solo que a largo plazo no van a acordarse tanto de este libro como de los otros cuando piensen en la saga, es un buen libro, sólo que se quedó algo corto.
Y por último, siempre es un plus que este libro (y toda la saga) se lean rápidamente, pierdes la noción del tiempo cuando lees los libros de esta saga.

The problem with these books is that the final chapter always makes me want to give it a higher rating but honestly... I didnt enjoy this.
I read it for Magnus and Cleo and even the parts of the book that included them weren't as interesting as previous books.
Also it just seems like so much detail was skipped over and I'm not convinced the timing of anything actually makes sense...
