This book had it's up and downs but the ending was so insane I still haven't gotten over it!! I can't wait for the 6th book to come out. Such a cliffhanger

Anyone can complain that this book is long winded (cue "Words are wind" reference) and that this book details so many things happening without anything really advancing. But I think that's the beauty of Martin's writing. He has created this extensive, ornate world that demands to be told in rich detail.

Is this my favorite book of the series? No. Not today, at least. I wish it had more Arya, I wish it had more Brienne (Martin, you cruel man!), I wish it had less "You know nothing, Jon Snow." I could have done without Victarion and Quentyn, although I know they have purpose.

I see this book as the Order of the Phoenix of the lot. Many characters needed to go through character development or needed to be developed as in introduced. A lot of fans have complaints, but when the series is completed, we will realize the full extent of this installment of the series.

The Song of Ice and Fire series is a five-star series, so this book deserves five stars.

I will never read another book this thick in less than a week again, my brain is mush and for what?

I'm glad my favorite characters were in this one, but so much was said, and not that much even happened. It really sucks to read 1000+ pages and be indifferent to 500 of them

I don't know how to review this book. The writing was as good as in all the others. The characters I love and hate are in it. But it leaves me sad at the end.
