I love a good billionaire romance where the fmc is a strong, independent woman with an "i don't really need you" attitude about his fame/money. Add in a single dad, LGBT representation, some great Doctor, Doctor jokes (we don't do these jokes in America, so when I read English books with them I love them so much!), some suspense, and a lot of spice and the book just wins me over without even trying.

This book was fantastic. Check your triggers, because there is on page DV and assault and stalking (not in the good way, lol). But overall a great book.

I hadn't read the first one in this series yet, but I am going to go back and read that one too. This book somewhat spoils the ending of book one, but really in romance books don't they always end up together anyway? So is that really spoiling it?

ARC Review

I could not put this book down! The whirlwind romance between Oscar and Eve was such a lovely story. I cannot wait to read the other characters stories!

I really liked this story! I thought it was a great mix of a cinnamon roll who also has a protective alpha side when it’s needed. James is just the cutest and I loved Sir Henry. I thought the ongoing Doctor Doctor jokes were adorable as well. Overall, I really enjoyed this book!

I enjoyed reading Eve and Oscar’s story. My jaw dropped a couple times in the beginning due to an awful side character. I was happy to see Eve become a strong character and heal from her trauma. I absolutely adored how Jame’s, Oscar’s son, fell for Eve. This was such a great found family book.

I did receive an ARC from CC Gelding and the opinions are my own.

3.5 of 5 🌶️ / Oscar and Eve’s journey was one worth the read as they guide each other back into realizing that love is possible no matter what you’ve faced in your past. The twist and turns their relationship faces show that when it’s meant to be fate finds you no matter where you run to. (Plus who can resist a child as adorable as James.)

Eve and Oscar show they understand each other and are so perfectly matched with each other as each chapter passes, and this love stories is definitely one of my favorites for this year.

When Eve runs from her abusive ex to work in her friends practice she never imagined meeting someone like Oscar. Now Oscars father has passed he’s become the new Baron so he takes his Son away from the prying eyes and lack of privacy , when he meets Eve he can’t get her out of his head . Was great seeing Liam & Chloe again and Sean O’Sullivan and I can’t wait for his book .

This is the first book I read by the author and won’t be the last. Eve has never had a family that really cares about her until she became Oscar's family. Eve was able to help adorable little James through his trauma. It was so nice to see that James was included on the dates and still made him a priority so he was not left out. Oscar seemed to really help Eve find herself and not let others push her over anymore. I love the Doctor Doctor jokes, it helped lighten the mood. When Liam found information out about Eve and Oscar did not want to look at the information until he talked to Eve. I feel like he was respecting that she would tell him when she was ready.

This is a fast paced romance between two professionals. Does contain a TW for domestic violence (not between main characters, happens prior to the couple meeting). It contains a well written, diverse, LGBTQIA+ positive, secondary cast. I highly recommend this book as a contemporary, billionaire romance.
