Was not a jolly artfare of hope. Not of change, neither. Most of it was like dirty bedsheets and the depression that comes from a series of them.
There was one chapter that made sense. One chapter alone felt like it was meant to better my psyche, my awareness, the heart. This terrifying chapter should have been a short story; Halloween night made me care about the struggles of the Black Arm Of Justice, who rescued the narrator's sister during a brutal trauma. The impact of what this part had to say, furiously, was hidden underneath a novel that lolls its tongue out at its reader.

5 star book minus 0.5 stars for the gross and in my opinion unnecessary incest.

Predictable if you've read much of Irving's work but enjoyable none the less. He does a great job building characters you have to love.
