Okay what the hell is up with Solange???? Woah girl, are you okay? I was pretty excited to get back to Lucy's POV, she's easily one of my favourite characters. Connor and Christa were cute, even though a couple of the 'geeky' and 'nice guy' comments had me cringing a bit

Whaaaat, was with the ending?! it left me with my mouth hanging open, and now I have to wait forever for the next one to come out... It'll be worth it though, it always is!

Bleeding Hearts was really, really good. I think it is my favorite of the series so far. Something I really liked about this book(other than the HOT Drake brothers, of course) was how time passed and the perspectives changed. That probably doesn't make sense. What I mean is that something would happen in Christabel's point-of-view, then when the chapter ended and the POV changed, the same event would happen in Connor's perspective. I really liked that about this book. I feel like I just threw up on the page, sorry. Anyway, in short, the book was amazing, and I think you should definitely read it. Or start the series for the first time with Hearts at Stake/My Love Lies Bleeding, then Blood Feud, Out for Blood, and, of course, Bleeding Hearts.

My copy of Bleeding Hearts also had an exclusive short story about Liam and Helena falling in love, and I have to say that I loved it. I was really cute, and I really want to read more about their story.

3.5 stars.

I think out of the whole series, my opinion has changed the most about this book. It was my favourite for years, but now I'm not even invested in two out of the three perspectives. It's still enjoyable, but it's definitely not as good as I remember.

First i liked to say the cover of Bleeding Hearts looks amazing but then again i do love all the covers of the Drake Chronicles, they are all simply beautiful. Now to the Story. The one thing I like about the Drake Chronicles novels is that each book has different POV in them, and I was very happy that i was getting more Lucy POV as I adore her to the bone. I also like that we get another of the Drake Brothers as one of the perspective as well, in this book it's Conner of the twins. and the last perspective that we get is Christabel, Lucy's cousin whom is new to Violet Hill . I love the way Alyxandra is able to capture all these different roles and characteristic and is able to write from their mind. I loved the Nick and Lucky moments, they are by far my favourite 2 since the first book, even if there was not as many as i wished. Conner, Conner, Conner, I just love him. I loved the interaction between him and Christable, just cute. The twist and turns though the whole book, made me not want to put the book down, it just made me want to keep on reading. I would be lying if i said I did not finish this book in a few hours, as I did. I loved how the characters build and build throughout the books and we get to see changes. I also liked Christable, she is a very interesting character, she is weak yet very strong. She is not the usual girl, I think that is why I liked her so much. I loved the action scenes, it would not be a Drake Chronicle Novel without some action and Lucy is badass and I love it. All I have is one problem... Solange, that is not Alyxandra's fault, she just pissed me off pretty much the whole book, and it made me want to punch her, maybe that is why Alyxandra Harvey wanted us to feel, if she did, well then it worked for me. I love the way Alyxandra writes it is pretty captivating. overall I really liked. The ending wow! The ending did not expect that.

So I give this book a 4 stars out of 5.

The Drake Chronicles is my favorite guilty pleasure series. I love the snarky, witty banter, the very hot Drake brothers, and the vampire mythos that Alyxandra Harvey has created. Each entry into the series is an engaging and entertaining read. I think Bleeding Hearts though is tied with book number one for my favorite in the series.

I loved that Lucy was back as one of the narrators. She continues to be my favorite character in the series, so it was great to get a peek into her world again. Reading Bleeding Hearts was like welcoming back my old friends and I was eager to read more about Lucy and Nicholas. (If Lucy ever breaks up with him, he's mine!:)

In addition to Lucy's narration, we also get narration from Lucy's cousin Christabel and Conner Drake. Of course romance ensues, because what would a book in the Drake Chronicles be without some romance? Conner and Christabel are adorable and I liked both of them immediatly. Christabel is always found with a book in her hand, she's read the classics hundreds of times, she quotes poetry and she's waiting for Mr. Darcy. Conner is a Sci-Fi and Fantasy geek who knows Firefly, Star Trek and Doctor Who trivia, who can easily fix computers, and loves comic books. Together they love all my favorite things so how could I not root for them?

There's a lot more than romance and Bleeding Hearts has plenty of twists and turns and surprises. Something strange is happening with Solange, there's a new tribe of vampires to deal with and Hel-Blar are on the loose. Lots of epic battles make this an action packed read. And that ending??? I need book five NOW!

Give this series to fans of vampire stories with a bit of snark and romance. Even if you're feeling a bit burned out on paranormal, give this series a try. Alyxandra Harvey successfully combines action and romance with a bit ohick-lit and a dash of mystery. Another fantastic entry into the series!
