slight fantasy aspect? Good book tho, a lot of different storylines that all ended up connecting really well. gruesome at times tho with the descriptions of the surgeries.

so he’s not dead? but then if she didn’t take the solution too, then she’ll die and he’ll live on? guess thats why there is a sequel

This book is incredibly dark, and was a challenging read for me, but it was also great. I'm a huge fan of Dana Schwartz's podcast and it's clear she takes great advantage of both her medical and historian backgrounds to write a really multifaceted love story to pursuing your passions.

Wow what a beautiful, interesting book! It's about a gal wanting to be a doctor in like the 18th century. She wants to be a surgeon, theres some romance, there is a mystery and murder and anatomy. Any female doctors should read this book! It is a bit gruesome if you're super sensitive
