No plot, mindless prattling of young coed.

February DNF 30p

The writing for this one wasn’t working for me. As an example - when Stephen was describing Lucy’s appearance the first time he saw her “...I took note of how long and slim her legs were. Not too skinny but perfect. Tan, creamy skin, like a coffee milk shake.” I’ve never thought of anyone’s skin as like a coffee milkshake. And the description went on to her arms “lengthy and thin like string beans”. I kept going a while longer but ultimately decided this wasn’t for me.

I’ve never despised a character more than Steven.

Honestly, was expecting something more. I wanted more from Stephen, like… revenge, or him to get caught cheating in the act! But… it was never like that. He always got away. He always got what he wanted. He never had to pay for any consequences. Not even the death of Macy. It was so… uneventful. It honestly just made the story so much more boring 🥱

Ultimately, She just saw a couple dancing and was like “op… that’s it. I want real love, I love Stephen and it’s real but it’s not real love”. And I was like… bitch wtf u could not have figured that out after years of cheating and him letting u down? It took u… to see someone dancing to a country song… aiggghhttt.

This book is literally about a depressed college freshman who falls in love with a narcissistic sociopath (who has no regard for anyone’s feelings throughout the whole book) and it takes over the course of like 5 years. Literally so pointless.

Reminds me of normal people but instead of two depressed ppl it’s one and one sociopath.

Anyways yeah. I’m binge watching the tv show and sobbing my eyes out byeeee 💋💋

Meh, I’d give it like 2.75 stars. I didn’t really like either of the main characters and at several points thought they deserved each other.

I didn't even finish it and I don't intend to. it only put me in a reading slump. it doesn't even deserve a rating.
