I'll start by saying, definitely look at trigger warnings for this book before reading. I should have.

Aside from that, when I started this book, I wasn't sure what direction it was going to go in. It was giving me tale of caution vibes, and I was correct.

I loved the ending to this book. It was very healing. The author is correct in that we all have a Stephen in our lives at some point or another. I know who mine is and I can't wait for the day I have the epiphany Lucy does at the end of this book. 🧡

This book at first made me hate the characters, but soon I saw my own mistakes past mistakes in Lucy and began to feel differently about her character and understand her character development. I didn’t like how much the book jumped around time wise, and it seemed like the ending was rather abrupt. Over all I enjoyed it and felt it was quite the page turner

I wasn't sure how I felt about this book for most of it. I feel like I enjoy this as extended character study but the story was weird and disjointed. As others have said the ending is incredibly abrupt and out of nowhere. Ultimately I really enjoyed Stephen's chapters and inner world even if I vehemently disagree with it. I think if you like the show it's worth a shot.

Just an incredibly frustrating read with obnoxious characters. The story is somewhat interesting and engaging, but every chapter is essentially the same with nothing new happening with the characters. Dumb kids making dumb choices. Ending was terrible.

this. was. genuinely painful to get through my god. i’ve never hated characters more (which i get was the point) but oh my god. unbearable for me personally. wanted to DNF at 10% but i persevered, regretfully so. AGHAKFNXOANWIXBS
