I found this book fascinating!! I have never read a work by Daniel Silva, nor would I likely have picked up this book had it not been in the Best Reads of 2024 section of one Indigo bookstore, but I was immediately swept into another world of art intrigue and espionage. The plot was engaging, complex, and full of twists. I loved how it took place across various countries, as well as the diversity of its characters. It’s also nice that you don’t need to have read previous books (in what I think is a series) to enjoy the novel. I actually learned a lot about the art world through it as well, so that was surprisingly informative. It was giving Mission Impossible 6 vibes and I was definitely there for it. Overall, the best book I’ve read about art fraud.
