I think I may have enjoyed this book more than the first - I felt there was a lot more character development which was nice to see. I do think the ending is a bit out of character. It feels strange that everyone is just trusting this guy when there are clear and obvious red flags. it's a little heavy handed that there's something up and the characters are ignoring the signs a little too much. Am excited to see it play out though.

I would die for these kids, I can already tell the next and last book is going to be a total heartbreaker no matter what. Not the most uplifting lockdown read but really glad to have distractions none the less.

This book was a great continuation of the story. We are introduced to new characters as Gus travels across the lands, and tries to stay away from the humans. Too bad he is captured and has to escape. That is where most of this book is spent, escape. This volume will keep the reader turning pages and needing book 3 immediately after.

Wow! Truly a series that worth every second it takes reading it! Original in its artwork and a very solid storyline! Loved it! I highly recommend this series!
