I contemplated giving this one two stars, but in the end I decided it was deserving of three. When compared to the rest of the series, this was a surprisingly strong book.
Despite my better judgment, I read the four books despite having hated the first in the series. As I’m not one to turn down free books on Amazon, I decided I would suffer it. The more I worked through the series, the more I enjoyed it. They’re far from being brilliant books, but I was pulled into the story. If nothing else, I wanted to know how things ended.
In all honesty, we know what to expect due to the title. Nevertheless, it was fun to read through and see things played out. I really did find myself surprisingly pleased by the ending. I doubt I will go on to read the follow up stories – still, I’m happy enough with this ending.
