Best Jack Reacher book yet (and I've read a lot of them!) Struggled a bit getting into it at first, especially as I dont usually like the first person Reacher books, but once I worked out the opening misdirect/what was really going on it was impossible to put down. Also enjoyed getting to see more Reacher backstory.

A bit of change of pace from the first 6 books. For those that don't like that Reacher is always overmatched, this is a good starting point for them.
Graphic: Gun violence, Torture, and Kidnapping

Persuader wasn't my favorite of the Jack Reacher novels. It's told in an interesting way, with the actions of "now" heavily influenced by something Reacher did 10 years ago. It's also... boring. Very little happens in the story, and yet the action is somehow spread out over 300 pages within a very short time span. The reason Reacher is after Quinn is left until far too late - the story within a story doesn't make sense until more than halfway through the book, and even then the "why" isn't very strong until the last few chapters.
