Honestly, I love John Cowper Powys. But keeping a Jack Reacher novel close at hand is an essential support measure for surviving one of his novels to the end.

Reacher walks into a blast from his past that he was pretty sure was dead and in the midst of tracking this guy down gets tangled up with an undercover FBI investigation.
Your usual Reacher recipe of action/thriller delivering everything a Reacher novel usually does, I think I'm going to have to start pacing myself a little better with these before I burn myself out with the predictability of the storylines because they are usually entertaining.
