Basically a philosophy essay with a very pessimistic, nihilistic, and cynical view. The arguments and reasoning goes back to a controversial idea: what's stopping us from ceasing reproduction and ending the human race? From the concepts of human puppets, pessimism, uncanniness, theology, near death experiences, reality, and most importantly - consciousness, the author pokes every hole of what we think we know about ourselves and our grip of our emotions.

There's two moments in here that stood out, one in Chapter 5 where the author angrily satirizes the 'normal society's' response to all these bleak and depressive discussion, and second, in the last chapter, where the author concludes that maybe in the end near our death, none of these discussions, pursuit of truth or enlightenment will matter. And maybe not even near death, we would just move on to our lives having faced this truth.
