I watched the movie before reading the book but honestly that kind of works in this case given how closely they mirror each other and being able to back the reading experience with visuals. I quite enjoyed this read and look forward to the sequel too. This was a quick read which I really enjoyed delving into given my love of the movie.

I loved it! It’s a slow burn & “nothing” really happens for quite a while but the scariest parts to me were how slowly & insidiously Rosemary was being abused (mentally, emotionally, physically) by nearly everyone she knew. Terrifying. Never saw the movie so was glad to read the book in a fresh light.

I loved the pacing and rising tension throughout, culminating in one of the most gripping chapters I've ever read. I felt the ending was a touch disappointing but the rest of the book (minus the outdated racial views) more than made up for it.
