This book is the best book I've read in such a long time!!! The tension, the twists and turns had me guessing until the very last page!!! I loved Anna as an obviously unreliable narrator!!! This book was completely unexpected and left me reeling at the end!!! When everything was said and done I was absolutely astounded by the genius of the author to write this masterpiece!! Especially when it came to Anna and Ethan's characters!!! I also loved the psychology aspect of it and how for the longest time you couldn't figure out if the crime was real or if Anna imagined it!! I just loved this book so much!!! I had an inkling from the beginning that Ed and Olivia were dead so I was glad that I was right about that. But the real killer? Yeah I would of never guessed that one in a million years. The killer had me completely oblivious just like Anna.

A little slow (for the love! The over descriptions!) but I understand why because of the plot twist before the plot twist. Overall, an entertaining and Interesting rear window esque thriller.

The Woman In The Window
Anna is a child psychologist who lives alone unable to venture outside. She suffers from intense anxiety. She prefers to stay indoors and drink her wine. She also enjoys people watching especially her neighbors. The Russell's move in across the street. A man, a woman and their teenage son. Anna sees something she's not supposed to and the trouble begins.
In the beginning I was intrigued. I initially thought this will be a nice and quick read. However, as I read there were many questions. The way the story is set up makes it seem like it's all in Anna's head. She has anxiety and depression. She is an alcoholic and always drinks wine. She is a doctor of psychology but there's a lot missing in her mind. This obsession with the Russel family is strange. The relationship with the teenage son is very weird. As the truth begins to unravel I felt like the story dragged on for too long. By the end, I didn't care too much for the characters anymore. Family drama and trauma are the center of the story. Anna doesn't figure out the truth on her own. She is just told the truth. I do like it better when characters figure out the truth by putting the clues together themselves. I liked the idea of the hallucinations and the psychology of it all. I just didn't like how it was executed and revealed.

I guess I’m not entirely sure why this is a favorite of so many peoples. Might’ve been that I listened to it, but who knows. My major question is how do you afford such a nice house in New York while not working??? Life insurance?

Is she crazy? Is she drunk? The entire book you're trying to figure out what's going on. In the end, it all makes sense in a shocking way. I may or may not still be able to go outside after dark by myself after reading the finale in this one!
