this isn't a story for everybody's tastes, but it was absolutely for mine. beautifully written, and so curiously dark that i couldn't put it down. johann and florian have carved out a space in my thoughts where their story continues to linger.

I really liked this. I can't totally see why this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it was incredibly immersive for a novella. If dark, deranged, gothic, queer, magical alternative universes are your thing, I recommend it.
