The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen was painfully slow for the first 100 pages or so, but after the end of part one, it was oh so worth the build up. I LOVED the little twist at the end of part one, and though some moments got a bit bogged down in information sharing, the book started flying after that. I think this book plays with the idea of “the other woman” and revenge in a really reflective way, ultimately leading to an epilogue that left me shocked. While it didn’t get the coveted audible gasp, it definitely got a little squeal of excitement. The pieces of this story come together perfectly, if you’re patient enough to let them unfold. This book really points to the strength of survivors, and how survivors need to support others, which I really admire and didn’t expect from the title. I would definitely recommend this book, but you have to stick it out for the first part of the book. I promise, it’s worth it!

Very entertaining book for me.  I chose this audiobook for two reasons, first it was available immediately from the library and Julia Whelan was the narrator.  I knew nothing about this book and I have not ready any other books from this author duo.
After listening to this book, I will be looking for other books from Greer and Sarah.  Why?  I like a mystery suspense book that makes me question what is going on because a sentence or paragraph could move the story in multiple directions.  It leaves you wondering which direction the story is taking and how are the characters going to react.
The plot twists in this book kept me engaged and moving forward.  The pace was good; the first section was slower then section two and three picked up momentum and clipped right along.

I’ve had this book sitting on my bookshelf for more than a year now and finally after all this time I decided to pick it up and read it. Part One of the book was pretty easy to guess what was going on. Part Two I was confused. And Part Three put everything into perspective and when I say everything I mean everything. Overall it was an okay book not as great as the anonymous girl but still good nonetheless.

The Wife Between Us is broken into 3 main parts. Part 1 really got me hooked, wanting to know all the secrets and things left unsaid, as is necessary with any good book. We follow Vanessa's story as she mourns her [previous] marriage with Richard and begins stalking Nellie, Richard's new fiancee, in the weeks leading up to their wedding. Part 2 delves more into Nellie's relationship with Richard and how she is enamored with him and the lifestyle that being with him affords her. It showcases a bit of how she deals with Vanessa stalking her as well. Part 3....was kind of a shitshow, if I'm being honest. I felt like it was all over the place, which made it hard to follow. This section was the least surprising of the 3, which didn't exactly push me to finish the book, but I did.

This book had several twists and turns. I didn't necessarily suspect any of them, but I won't say they really gave me a huge shock factor, either. Without saying too much, I will say that the one that really surprised me was when we found out more about the relationship between the dual narrators, Vanessa and Nellie. I was also surprised by the final twist in the epilogue; that one I totally didn't expect. Other than that, I felt that the other big twists were just, "meh."

Overall, I didn't love this book. I'm glad I didn't spend the money to buy The Wife Between Us; I listened to the audio book on Libby. I will give the authors another try, as I already own An Anonymous Girl, and that one seems to have higher praise than this one did.
