A lovely meandering recounting of a months worth of train journeys, with snippets of the lives of people, and the histories of people and places.
Mind you, there was a certain moment of disconnect, when I added up the dots and realised that I know the author, as a friend-of-friends. But then, that kind of thing happens when you attend the same uni and hang out in the same circles, even if it is a few years apart.
