I didn’t like any of the characters and found some of their traits a little too close to home from what I’ve witnessed with some “mummy bloggers” in my own world. This made it hard to continue reading but they are beautifully written it was just a bit too real for me
like swapping out an almond milk chia seed smoothie from a sponsor for a vanilla milkshake from McDonald’s so her kids would eat it on camera haha

I went back and forth in this book on being irritated with the content but wanting to keep reading. I like reading stories based where i live as well as the twists she somehow also adds in that I don't see coming. Makes for a much more interesting read.

Funny and sharp, this perfectly skewers the often vicious world of MUMMY BLOGGERS as they snipe, snark & shame & judge their way across the blogosphere, pitting women against women.

So often hypocritical & sad, shallow imitations of what they try and project; this is both a savvy insight into the social media tricks & stunts, and the pathetic graspings of women defining themselves by their wombfruit.

LOVED IT!

This was a first for me as I haven’t read any books similar to this before that focus on motherhood specifically even though I am a mother myself. I thought I was going in expecting to relate to a lot of things… However, what a big load of lies some of those mummy bloggers post about. For example, the perfect life, work, healthy eating, outfits, paid help and spotless houses. UMMM. That’s not motherhood that is a lie.
Don’t get me wrong that’s what the book is about how mums represent their ‘perfect’ life online when the reality is much different. Parts had me laughing out loud and parts made me angry. Given time I thought some of those mothers cared more about their blog than their kids. It is a brilliantly written story though and eye opening if you think about it. Differently from what I usually read.
I awarded The Mummy Bloggers four stars and would highly recommend. I want to know your opinions on this one. All mothers are different but shouldn’t we all be supporting each other?

Adored this book. Couldn’t put it down, my only regret is that it has been sitting on my to read list for so long.
