I... really liked this? I didn’t expect to, it was my first from this author and I’m always weary of trying new to me authors, but this was free and short so I gave it a go and honestly, I’m impressed. I liked the writing, the characters and even the plot. I think it was a great length for what it was, and I think they were both quite realistic. Will definitely give this author another read.

I love how this is a rekindling of love story for an established couple. It's a lovely short read.

A nice sweet, short intro story. Sexy in all the best ways. Definitely going to check out more.

This was a somewhat interesting novella that introduces the Wardham series. I really liked the twist in this romance! Ian and Carrie are a bit of an older couple, and they hadn't fallen in love when they met. An oops! moment led to marriage for them, and when the oops! moment was no longer a factor, they chose to stay together and see about making a relationship work, rather than taking the easy way out and divorcing so that they could walk away. This is not that prevalent in romance novels and I really appreciated this quirk! I could easily identify with the characters and envision their world. In short, it was a very enjoyable read, and I look forward to reading the following books in the series!

Another audiobook to listen to while I was cross-stitching. Seems like it's a novella to introduce a new series and it's an interesting way to go about it with a marriage in trouble.

Not sure I would call this story a romance, more drama to me. This novella is about 2 couples having a rough go in their marriage after 8 years of bumping along the the way.

Now, I have never been married but I have been in relationships... is this the same? No and yes. I saw the red flags that I could have had I not turned down all requests received in the past by previous partners. I do not regret it, or this story would of been mine come to life. This is another reason this book pulls me to it and felt to real for me as I read.

Some great things in the book, we don't have a love swept romance that burns, it is slow and learning. (in a almost 2 hour read)

The wife deals with a ton of regrets and emotions, not always leaving the past but living in it.

A husband who doesn't communicate well to his wife and torments' himself thinking he is not good enough.

We have hot topic issues that do cause lots of divorce -money, kids (quantity/lack off), mischances and misunderstandings from the LACK of communication. Is this why marriages fail? No, there are many other reason out there, for me it would always be the money. (I am not a tightwad but if they spend more then me within reasons, they get a couple red flags)

One thing I think this author did well was imply how important communication is in a marriage, this my save you some therapy bills. This may be a short book, and again I am not married nor have I been, but I think she did well on a struggling married couple working things out together and bumping along the way doing it.
