Beautiful, devastating, unique, and without a doubt my favorite read of the year.

This book was phenomenal. From the character arcs to plunging plot twists, this book was nothing less than a roller coaster of emotions. Firstly, I personally enjoyed Feyre’s character development and healing a lot more in this book than the second. Second of all, this is not a romance, primarily(at least in my opinion). This is a political fantasy (a very well-done one too), with wars betrayals, politics of relations between Courts and division between them, everything was full of action and drama. I will say I have predicted quite a lot of the plot, yet it was still very enjoyable and exciting! This was a great build-off from the previous book, and I can’t wait to see how the author evolves the story in the next one!

I will not be leaving a review due to the fact that I do not wish to support the author, this book was purchased second hand and read for enjoyment.

An all-consuming rush of brilliant imagery, cunning battle and tense action, beautiful companionship, deliciously sexy and sweet romance. I was utterly entranced the entire 624 pages as Feyre continued her fight for her loved ones, her new friends, her soulmate, and her own beating human heart within a new immortal body.

I LOVE RHYSAND TO INFINITY AND BEYOND. What a magnificent creature. Maas crafts his heartbreaking story so flawlessly, intersecting purposefully with Feyre’s even from the first moment they met in the first book. I was blown away by every detail revealed.

Also… HE LETS HER BEJEWELED. IYKYK!!!

“But I was his mate. He would yield only for me.”

I can’t wait to see what happens next between the High Fae and the mortal realm as they go to swiftly into that dark night…

One of my favorites in the series. Deals with trauma and has great character development with a loveable love story. It’s hard to put down even after reading it a few times it’s that good!

I cannot even express how much I absolutely devoured this book. I have never read anything like it and I would read it a thousand times over if I could get even an inkling of the feeling this made me have while reading it. Feysand is the greatest love I’ve ever experienced and I cannot wait to see how they evolve.

Okay this was so fun to read!! It’s got Faerie paperwork, Faerie bank accounts, vulgar gestures, and enough growls and hisses and snarls to fill a zoo. This was much stronger than the first installment, and actually made the first one make more sense, though it was still often goofy and full of weird plot holes. I truly have no concept of what anyone’s powers are, they seem limitless until there is a random thing they can’t do, but even then they might be able to do it at a later time. And the plot really didn’t make much sense at all
like when Feyre got mad about the mate reveal, I feel like the only reason she was angry was to get them alone in a cabin for a sex marathon, not because she would be legitimately angry at the bond with a person she obviously loves
.  And I will say SJM can write about trauma in a surprisingly nuanced way, so that made Feyre’s character arc much more compelling than in ACOTAR. The last few chapters had me ON EDGE! I had a blast reading this and I guess now I am, perhaps begrudgingly, a sjm girlie. I’m hooked! You got me!
