Tom's Tooth is a Tiddlers story about a young boy who is pleased to lose his first tooth. But then he can't find the tooth anywhere at bedtime and is worried the tooth fairy won't come! Will he find his tooth in time?

The Tiddlers books are designed for young children who are just learning to read on their own. The front of the book explains the purpose of the series and gives advice for parents to help their child read and comprehend the book. Each Tiddlers story features a list of all the words used in the book on the very first page. This ensures children can check the words before reading the book and allows adults to assess the difficulty of the vocabulary.

Tom's Tooth is a simple and relatable story. The book contains very basic language, perfectly suited for very young children. Each page contains only a little text with gorgeous illustrations to help explain the story. At the back of the book, there is a small activity for the reader to find the pictures in the story.

Ideal for: young readers aged 4-5 years old.

As a red banded book, this story contains simple sentences with basic vocabulary, although there may be a couple of challenging words. The book features many illustrations which help to tell the story alongside the text. Each page may only contain a sentence of text. This book is best read with support from a parent or teacher who can prompt the reader to sound out unfamiliar words and test their comprehension.
