Je me suis accrochée car je souhaitais découvrir où le livre voulait en venir mais la violence des propos m'en a découragée

Spoiler
Multiple scenes of the main character assaulting young, underage girls, with the final straw being a graphic scene of him raping an 8-year-old girl. I don't know if I will be able to finish this book knowing that it gets even more graphic, violent and cruel towards women. This book is praised for its discussion of racism and anti-black violence, but there are so many better and more nuanced books that discuss those same themes and are written by black authors so you don't have to do this to yourself. Trust me, the graphic, cruel and apathetic violence against girls and women described in this book will stick with you more than any commentary the author may have had on racismSpoiler
