I'm a big fan of cozy mystery, in fact it's my 2nd fav after urban fantasy. And this fits right into both.
My biggest problem with reading cozy mystery is that you always, ALWAYS, know who the bad guy is. You sit there, rolling your eyes and going "DUH LOOK RIGHT THERE!!" But the main character never does. And when the "big" reveal comes at the end you're just.. whatever.

It's cozy mystery after all, it isn't supposed to be some super hard brain nut.

Being an arc review, there were some typos that I hope will get fixed before the public release. But ignoring those mistakes..
This book was good!

I'm not going to get into spoilers. But it wasn't the typical heroine instantly falling into the hands on the first hot character that pops up. She turned the case over in her head, going back and forth and had some good suspects on her list rather than just stumbling over the murderer at the last minute.
And best of all...
I was surprised over some of the reveals that came in the last 10% of the book.

I liked the characters, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
