Min manipulated her way through the story using her powers of "charm" to get herself through trouble... but then would complain about how Fox spirits are discriminated against because of those very powers she used to manipulate people...

This book’s biggest issue was pacing. Some plot points were overdone and dwelled on too long for me to care anymore and certiorari points that I thought would get more attention happened so quickly that I got disappointed (this is especially true for the ending). This was just underwhelming honestly. But I did enjoy it, it’s a fun read but it could’ve been so much more!

Korean folklore with a space twist makes this a fun book for science fiction/fantasy readers. You grow to love Min and all the trouble she gets into trying to find her brother. The ability to shape shift and charm others help her investigate and navigate tricky situations.

Had a really difficult time with this book, in terms of plot and character development. The idea was great - it was fun to learn about Korean folklore. It just wasn't put together well.

Ok I’m not a sci/fi girly and at times I felt myself uninterested but I had to focus really hard on the other aspects that the story gave which were obviously still really good for me to finish.

This was not a bad story by any means, you’ve got familial dynamics, Asian folklore intertwined with space and adventure. I really enjoyed many of these.

I did have an issue with everything just being too easy. Granted this is a MG so really the depth can be pretty surfaced. Nothing too mentally difficult to process but still, you’re in space and this child is running around with Fox powers and changing herself to whatever she wants, enough to trick everyone she comes in contact with 🤔

I would definitely recommend this to kiddos who are getting into sci/fi, the space and futuristic concepts were really easy to follow and nothing too complex. But I think I’m done attempting the Sci/Fi genre at the moment.
