The further adventures of Jacky Faber - this time she's back in Boston and getting into trouble as usual. I really enjoy these on audio, although I am getting a little impatient with the star crossed lover plot. Ah well...

Reading Jacky Faber is like putting on a pair of old jeans, comfortable and comforting. Hearing her spunky voice is like being with an old friend. Like old jeans, she also feels a little worn, cliched, and she's entirely predictable. I enjoyed climbing aboard ship again and quickly and easily finished the book. I do think it's time for a resolution to the series. It's time for Jacky and Jaimey to get together and settle down!

This was actually one of my favorites thus far in this series.

One of the things I've always disliked about the series was how contrived I found it. Jacky has conveniently run across too many old friends in her travels all across the world, that it just seemed ridiculous. Boston Jacky had all of her friends conveniently converging on Boston, but it was premeditated that they would be there and it made sense.

I will say that Jaimy is an idiot and I blame his overthinking mind more than the intervening third party in this misinterpretations that happened at the end of the book. Moving on to Wild Rover no More to see what becomes of Jacky in the end and to mark another series read!

Slightly more pg13 than the other Jacky books, what with Clarissa getting into drugs and all. Actually, I was disappointed in Clarissa's character, who drifted away from the original. Sad ending with Jamie.

On the Jacky Faber roller coaster again. Excited for the new book. Happy to listen to it. Sad that it is over. Anticipating the next one. Will things ever work out for Jacky?
