It was an okay book. A mix of mystery and YA. Of course the teenagers are outsmarting the police, FBI and everyone else in between.

The story is far tooo dragged and too many suppositions and repetitions and...pretty much lack of action. Just chapter after chapter of going over and over the fact that the one girl remembers nothing.

Things pick up a bit towards the end. As per the controversial ending, not sure if it made it better or worse, but it was an unexpected surprise, and that was a good change.

The story of That Weekend is thoroughly engrossing, a true page-turner. This is a book that perfectly balances the action of the plot with character-driven elements. The twists and turns, the red herrings, are perfectly placed and well developed. I was kept off-kilter throughout the story, which is something I truly love in this genre. And the characterization was on point, whether you hated them, loved them, or just weren’t sure what to think!
