This book was really really good. So crisp. The voice of the MC sounded truly authentic.

That said, I went into this book expecting it to be about a jury’s deliberations. It is not. It is about an affair. I almost stopped reading it once I figured that out, because I do not like reading fiction about affairs. I’m glad I continued though. It is a well-written character study.

Pretty conflicted, cause on the one hand the first part was really engaging, although really only because of the case, since the main character’s thoughts where super frustrating, which meant that on part 2 since there wasn’t a case anymore the frustrating thoughts were all you had left, which is probably the point, but still, I just don’t like reading about that. Also I don’t really know what this book is trying to say.
