Sweet Revenge by Camilla Läckberg is the first book I have finished for the 52 Book Club 2024 Reading Challenge. It is a book which has two different yet complementing novellas.
Women Without Mercy is the story of three women who are wives to men who are abusive to them in various ways. They anonymously join forces to commit three murders and send these men to their deaths...
Truth or Dare is about 4 best friends celebrating New Year's Eve during their last year of school. They enjoy fine wine, fine dining and a fine game of Monopoly...until their fine evening results in the ultimate game of Truth or Dare! And not everyone will live to see the chime of midnight...
While I appreciated the contrast of the novellas and the way the author built the different characters in a way that you could empathise with their stories, I could not relate to the different outcomes. I am also not a big thiller genre reader although I am a stretching my reading horizons.
I borrowed this book from Taunton Library and listened to the audiobook on Spotify. I read this for prompt 4, a revenge story for the 52 Book Club Reading Challenge 2024.
