Picking up right where book one left off, this is a very worthy sequel that leans even harder into mythological reference and builds palpable tension throughout.

I won't be able to get into the plot without spoilers for either book one or two but I will say that it accomplishes what it sets out to do.

There are many factions, many characters and many quests running concurrently which does end up being a touch confusing at times but it's still worth the experience.

The world building is exceptional and even through there are multiple plotlines, this book does set things up and move the story forward nicely.

Book 3 will be released in October.

 BIG WOW.

Especially the last 15-20%. It just grabs onto you and jumps off a cliff. What a thrill.

I LOVED this! The first book was excellent, but this was next level and raised the stakes. The world-building and character development were absolutely perfect. The multiple povs really add richness to the story. I can't wait for what I know will be an epic conclusion in the next book.

A good follow up to “The Shadow of the Gods” and doesn’t suffer from second book syndrome. The story felt a little slow to start with, but as it continued, I found myself rooting for our three heroes. Orka is still my favorite and I’d better see her again in the third book in this trilogy!
