This was an amazing version of a money nonfiction book that has been historically felt very rich and white. I will definitely be thinking about and rereading this book as I go through my money journey!

I know so many students who need this book - including my daughter. Anat provides personal examples, humorous anecdotes, and hella accessible explanations that make the often-dull topic of personal finance come to life. Even the most financially savvy teen or young adult - or adult - can benefit from her insight and guidance. It's a whole new way of looking at money - and it might even be *gasp* fun. Anyone, I repeat ANYONE, who has money or wants money needs this book.

A fantastic primer on money for people at any age - but especially the teens it's geared towards. I consider myself pretty financially savvy, but I still learned so much about the psychological aspect of our relationships with money. Gonna go fix my budget now.

I've read a lot of financial advice books over the years and a lot of the information tends to be the same. Berna covers more of the disparities between women and men, as well as minority groups. She also discusses the struggles of being financially "smart" and wanting to invest in companies that aren't evil, but also understanding that sometimes you just need to survive. It was a breath of fresh air to read a money book that isn't by a white man.

This book would be great for those aged 15-23 or those who are just starting out in our financial system. Easy to read and understand.

I’m not new to Berna’s financial content therefore so far some of this info isn’t new at all to me and I’ve already put some of her advice into practice! (Got me out of debt in 2021)

Lots of basics and essentials about personal finance. So some people may find this basic. This is for sure a book I wish I had when I was 23 but also something I would love to revisit when I’ve lost my way with my own budget.
