All encompassing

This series has been absorbing my life bit by bit and I never want it to end. Still, what an amazing conclusion!
Jericho and Mackayla are a wonderful pair and theirs is a love that is amazing. They have grown so much from the first. Dani and Ryodan... still more to tell there. So many stories within this one that are left to tell. Such a great piece of storytelling. I never want to leave their world!

*Falls onto her knees, tips back head and lets out a wail* Nooooooooo, I don't want it to be ooooooooooverrrr!!!

That said, I have been a loyal reader of this series since I discovered it several years ago. I have loved every single one of these books and this one was no exception. Normally I fly right through them, but I made myself take my time here. The emotional rollercoaster of knowing this was the LAST book made me want to savor it. Then the death of a certain character made me sob, despite the fact that I had a feeling they weren't making it to the end alive. Part of me is happy to know that Dani, Mac, Jericho and the rest can finally, maybe, have their HEA's... A bigger part of me is sadder to see them go. I LOVED these books, and I will definitely be looking forward to whatever KMM will bring us in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed KMM's writing and the many twists and turns she gives her characters. But this is the conclusion? There are so many unresolved plot lines. It didn't feel like an ending at all.

If this it truly the end of this series, I will be happy with the ending. This remains my most beloved series of all times. I need the night to dry my tears and reflect.

First 75%, a slow-going four, the last 25% an unputdownable five, with lots of tissues required. I thought there was going to be one more after this, so the ending, while good, was a bit of a disappointment. I also still don't like the 'silent conversations' Mac and Barrons have...and I don't like Barrons at all, anymore, I either find him awful or he does nothing for me. Didn't buy the scene where
SpoilerMac "realised" the problem with their relationship was caused by her, not him.
. Dani is by far my favourite still, and I could easily have done without the chapters from the pov of the consort.

Wow, Wow, WOW! What a great ending to the fever series. I have read every book by this author and can't wait for her next creation.
