Surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The first part was incredibly gruesome. I liked how Mac and Barrons story wrapped up. Not sure if I'll read the next one but time will tell.

I was so excited to read this. I re read the whole series leading up to the release date. I loved the book. It left me wanting more of their stories and more of their life, but one character who comes in at the end I think would become terribly annoying I'd written too much about.

One thing though, This is about the Audible. I understand why they changed the narrator for the males, I wish they had kept the same narrator for the females. It was jarring and frustrating. I wish the new people had at least studied the other 7 books. the accents were off, the inflections and voices and general time was off. Barrons does not whine, or pled or have any of the inflections the narrator added. Vlane lost so much of his regal manor and Christian lost his melting accent and depth that makes you hear his depth. it felt...washed. and much of what I loved about them was lost in hearing. And book was not nearly the way nor as scary as it could have played out had the accent been done correctly. And little things, like saying "he laughed" then no laugh in the dialog.
Also, annoying things like saying O.O.P and Z.E.W rather than "OOP" and "zoos" if they had even known the other books it would have gone better. I may have to read it in book form just to be able to fully enjoy the characters as I've come to know and love them.

Ok I have to say I LOVED the second half of this book!!!!! everything was pretty good compared to the messy last few books. I LOVED all the Dani/dancer/ryodan stuff. lots of tears. can't wait for more Dani. full review to come!

I started reading this and stopped.
Tried again and stopped.
I couldn't get into it. Something was wrong. I couldn't figure out why I was annoyed with the book while reading, but I was.

Then... THEN. Just now. The hubster is watching his favorite show, Evil Dead, again. He's already seen the series. Multiple times, but he's bored and watching again. And now I get it.

The Book of the Dead is living inside Pablo , Ash is not himself. Sounds familiar...
Yah

4.5 stars. It started a little slow, but I couldn't put it down by the end. Finally, KMM is back! What a great ending!

When I started reading Dani's book I thought there was no way KMM could make me like Ryodan as much as Barrons. Well she did it in this book!

To my relief this book was very similar to the first couple in the series and I really enjoyed it. At times I didn't want to put it down. I was disappointed in one part of the story-line, but I came to accept the reasoning for it. I thought this had to be the last in the series, but there is one little detail that I need resolution with, and I hope Karen is going to give it to me!!!!

The only thing good about this book was Dani and Dancer. That is all.
