Def my favorite of the series
I just love the twist on the prophecy with the bane
I mean all the prophecies have twists but this one just really frames that moral dilemma of follow orders or do what's right??
This one is also where things start getting darker
And twitchtip god the love of my life

I reread this as an adult, and I am still in love with it! It is a page turner. I forgot most of the twists causing me to still be surprised! The wonder of the Underland and Gregor's story is not lost on the adult me!

I so very much enjoyed [b:Gregor the Overlander|262430|Gregor the Overlander (Underland Chronicles, #1)|Suzanne Collins|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173234171s/262430.jpg|524491] that I actually sought out the sequel almost right away. I haven't been that excited about a series in awhile. Perhaps I'm a few years behind on this one, but indulge me as I geek out over a new-to-me series.
If at all possible, this book is more intense than the first one. Gregor's problems are a bit greater when this books starts (his dad is back, yes, but he is sick and his family is very hard up on money) and the book's suspenseful ending created an even greater list of challenges for Gregor to overcome in the next installment.
As before, this book is great on audio. I give the narrator much credit for being able to enjoyably narrate the voice of a toddler.
