This was an alright read. I was supposed to read this in July, but never got the opportunity to finish it until now. I really enjoyed the first book. However, the second book and the conclusion of the series was not as good as the first one. I thought it was great to see inside of Dante's mind, but the overall story confused me at times. I found the flashbacks to the past were interesting. I enjoyed both characters. However, I enjoyed Dante more than Scarlet, as we got to know him a bit more in this book. Also, their relationship is good as well because it continued to be filled with angst. I am glad I read this series. I hope to read more series by R.K. Lilley. Overall, an okay read.

The things they kept from each other. The things they did to hurt one another. The book was written in a way such that every scenario leaves a cut.
Not very satisfied with the ending though.

It was just slightly more bearable than the first one, but at least this one had some action and secrets revealed. Was kind of sad that Scarlett lost her edge and became slobbering mess throughout the book, but I guess it was also necessary. Still after all the books I have run through this was quite weak.
