As is usually the case, I thoroughly enjoy the characters and ambiance in this series. This installment delivers with a nicely-paced story, and even though you can see the "solution" of the mystery coming from a while away, it does not spoil the experience.

I found this a good read, when the wine vat was mentioned I did guess who was involved without realising the finer points. Superb book as always, really really enjoying these. I'll read the next two and then have a break from Vigata until next month.

This is another excellent installment in the Montalbano franchise.
The writing and descriptions of food and scenery is beautiful as always.
The plot for this particular novel is what stood out to me most. It helped show a human side to Inspector Montalbano. Highlighting the kindness he has, and the lengths he will take this to for ‘justice’.

Enjoyed this. The Montalbano mysteries are becoming comfortable little reads, but as ever, I feel less invested in the mystery of the murders and more interested in the characters. Montalbano is infinitely entertaining.
