I hate all the characters, only maven was interesting and then he was gone. The plot is boring. There doesn’t need to be so many pages of no plot.

This book was sooo much better than the second. The second was so slow to read.
Still lots of political vibes, kinda reminds me of games of thrones with all the colour and houses. With all the GoT vibes, Maven is kinda similar to Joffrey. But I really don't understand the love for an boy who has no feelings other than an obsession with Mare which makes him an psychopath. I feel only sympathy for Maven. Was worried that Maven and Mare would end up together, can't wait to start the last book to see what kind of twist Victoria has in store.

It’s kinda slow to get started. I say started but the first half of the book is slow. Which is kinda annoying when the previous one is left on such a delicious cliffhanger and then it doesn’t deliver.
The second half however is fast paced and hard to put down so I suppose it’s worth it once you get through the first bit.
