I really loved this book. ♥️ It was my first by TJR and it’s made me so excited to read her other books. It was very my vibe. There are no big plot twists or battle scenes, I can see how some people will say that nothing really happens but I couldn’t get enough of this family.
I loved the Rivas! I loved the shift between the 50’s and 80’s. I loved June! Mick really was a shit. I cringed, I laughed, I cried.
It was one of those “chicken soup” soul stories that left me with this sense of contentment. “a good life is knowing people care about you, knowing you can take care of the people that count on you.”

This book felt soul-cleansing, I loved it so much. Tears were shed, fists were clenched and sighs were released. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was the first Taylor Jenkins Reid book I’d read and didn’t really expect this to live up to it but it really did.

What can’t Taylor Jenkins read do. Oh my God. Her writing is the most beautiful thing I ever read. I absolutely loved how the beginning of the book was the end of the story so throughout the book you got to piece together the pieces of the first few chapters. Going into this book I knew that there were Easter eggs from the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo little did I know was there would be little Easter eggs and one of the main characters is one of Evelyn’s house?!?!! I did not think the crossover between the two books be this much but I loved it so much because I only knew the significant small part because I read seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo prior to this. Nina is one of my favorite characters and June June was an amazing. She was a great mom she got them surfboards on Christmas as a surprise are you kidding me

Taylor Jenkins Reid no decepciona!!!
